IT WILL BE COLD AND BLUSTERY FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS... NO SIGNIFICANT PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED THIS WEEK... WINDS SHOULD SUBSIDE BY MID-WEEK

Well, we had our first dusting of snow overnight and the system that produced it is now well offshore. The snow seemed to only stick to the grassy surfaces, vehicles, roofs, etc. I did hear that there was some black ice on the roadways this morning. I'm glad it wasn't a weekday as it could have been a commuter's nightmare. This low pressure system is expected to rapidly intensify as it pivots around another low pressure system over Eastern Canada. Bombogenisis is expected to occur today (Sunday) which will increase our winds somewhat throughout the day. The strong low will keep our winds quite gusty for the next several days. With the dry offshore flow, no significant precipitation is expected this week. Temperatures may drop as low as the low to mid 20's in some parts of our region early this week. A slow moderation of temperatures is likely later in the week, but by no means will it be warm. Well, that's it for now.
