CRISTOBAL MOVES OUT TO SEA… DOLLY MAY BE A THREAT TO THE WESTERN GULF COAST… HOT AND HUMID ARE THE WEATHER WORDS FOR MONDAY AND TUESDAY… RAIN CHANCES INCREASE BY MID-WEEK
Tropical Storm Cristobal moves away and will not affect our weather except that it should cause enough subsidence to prevent thunderstorms on Monday. Tropical Storm Dolly may be a threat to the Western Gulf Coast. Heat and humidity will plague Hampton Roads for several days. Our rain chances increase by Wednesday as a front approaches and stalls in our region. Actually, the NWS predicts that we may have a widespread rain event later in the week. Hopefully, we do see that rain over the areas that haven’t seen rain recently, especially the areas affected by the fires. Please try to stay cool and drink plenty of fluids. Later in the week, watch for thunderstorms and localized flooding.
