THE GREAT WEATHER CONTINUES THROUGH WEDNESDAY... THE THANKSGIVING WEEKEND FORECAST IS FAR FROM CERTAIN

There is not a lot to discuss about the current weather pattern. But who's complaining? High pressure continues to control the weather here in the Mid-Atlantic States and the only changes seem to be the wind direction and subtle day to day temperature variations. Sunshine has been abundant and will continue to dominate the weather into the new work week. Then, the weather becomes difficult to predict. There will be a cold front approaching the area by mid-week, but this front is expected to be weakening as it moves into the region. This primarily is due to the high pressure ridge in the Southeastern States, which is not allowing cold air masses to infiltrate that far southeastward. This is typical of La Nina periods. (La Nina is the cooling of the Eastern Pacific Equatorial waters which change the weather patterns across the U.S.). When will the weather pattern change and when will our spell of great weather end? Right now, it appears that we will have some unsettled weather as we head into the Thanksgiving weekend. But how much rain and cloudiness that we will see is far from certain at this time. Meanwhile, a storm system out west is causing mountain snow which is a good thing for ski resorts out that way as well as their water needs. Anyway, enjoy this tranquil weather while it lasts.
