IT DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!... WARMER TEMPERATURES MAY RETURN BY MID-WEEK... WILL GASTON MAKE A COMEBACK?

Bright blue skies, light winds, lower humidity levels, comfortable temperatures... it doesn't get much better than that! This is a refreshing change for us summer-weary folks here in Hampton Roads. Are we finished with the hot and humid weather? Probably not. But, I doubt it will be as bad as it has been earlier in the summer. Temperatures will be inching back up as we head towards mid-week. Dry weather seems likely for the foreseeable future. What about the tropics? The remnant low of Gaston has a high probability of making a comeback, so forecasters are going to keep a close eye on it over the next few days. If it does regenerate, it could pose a threat to the U.S. since it is expected to continue heading west for a while. The southwestern Gulf of Mexico is also being watched for development. I'll have an update on Labor Day.
