THE HEAT RETURNS ON MONDAY AND CONTINUES FOR MUCH OF THE WEEK... RAIN CHANCES REMAIN LOW
It doesn't get better than this! The weather will be perfect for all outdoor festivities on this 4th of July. Humidity levels are still quite low compared to what they could be at this time of year. Sunday will be the last comfortable day for quite a while as the heat builds back in on Monday. Afternoon temperatures will most likely break the 90 degree mark starting Monday. The heat will continue through most of this upcoming week. Precipitation chances remain very low through Friday. This is not good news for parts of our region where it has not rained in many days. Farmers in some parts of Virginia are becoming increasingly concerned about the lack of rainfall. As I said in my Saturday post, my neighborhood did receive rain this past Tuesday (June 29th), so my grass is still green for now. But, many missed out on that rain. The large and rather strong high pressure system will slowly move off the coast. This will set up a southwesterly flow. Note that the tropics are quiet for now. Enjoy your holiday and stay safe!
